The Dynamo's newest signing nearly is official.
In fact, 21-year-old Venezuelan centerback Alejandro Fuenmayor is in Houston and visited BBVA Compass Stadium on Thursday, sources told the Chronicle.
On Friday he will fly back to Venezuela to get a work visa, one of the final steps to making his employment with Major League Soccer official.
Fuenmayor has played with Venezuelan first division club Carabobo FC the last two years. He debuted when he was 19 years old and appeared in 21 games in all competitions in 2017.
Carabobo placed third in the 18-team league last season.
