Dynamo forward Andrew Wenger has played in only one playoff game, but that’s all it took for him to realize the intensity is unmatched by any regular season game.
Wenger, who is a candidate to play a key role off the bench in the Dynamo’s knockout round game against Sporting Kansas City on Thursday night, started a playoff game for the Montreal Impact in 2013.
He played the first 62 minutes of the Impact’s knockout round loss to the Dynamo in 2013.
“Let’s be honest, over the course of 34 games you’re going to get game where the other team is a little slow, a little sloppy,” said Wenger, who had two goals and two assists in 22 regular season appearances this year.
