Houston Dynamo FC defender Eric McCue scored his first professional goal in the 2-2 draw between Charleston Battery and New York Red Bulls II on Sunday. It came in McCue’s first start of the regular season after he came off the bench on May 14 against the Charlotte Independence. The Dynamo Academy alum and Charleston return to action on Friday, June. 4 against LA Galaxy II at home.
The Independence and Dynamo midfielder Marcelo Palomino earned three points on the road last Saturday after a 1-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The midfielder logged 86 minutes in his third start of the season and completed more than 70 percent of his passes.
