Houston Dash midfielder Kristie Mewis was named to the U.S. Women’s National Team 18-player roster by head coach Vlatko Andonovski, U.S. Soccer announced today. Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell will also join the USWNT as an alternate replacement player.
The U.S. Women’s National Team is set to travel to Tokyo, Japan in July for this summer’s Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Mewis returned to the national team last November, earning her first call-up in seven years and finished with a goal against the Netherlands on Nov. 27. The Dash midfielder extended her scoring streak in the first USWNT friendly of this year against Colombia on Jan.
