The Houston Dash lost midfielder Kristie Mewis to San Diego Wave FC and Jasmyne Spencer to Angel City FC in this evening’s NWSL Expansion Draft.
Mewis, 30, was traded to the Dash in 2017 and made 54 appearance for Houston. The US international scored 9 goals and added 7 assists during her time with the Dash. Mewis saw a bit of a career revitalization in Houston and got back in to the United States Women’s National Team picture. She has 33 caps for the USWNT, with 4 goals and 4 assists.
