The Houston Dynamo headed to Sporting Kansas City hoping to get what would be their second road win of the season. After digging deep and coming back from a 2-0 deficit the Dynamo were able to leave Kansas City with a point from a 3-3 draw.
Sporting Kansas City got on the board early in the game. The Dynamo defense made multiple stops at the goal line but failed to clear the ball at the end of each one. The ball eventually found Jacob Peterson who sent it right to the back of the net to give SKC an early 1-0 lead.
