The Houston Dynamo announced have signed 21-year old Alejandro Fuenmayor. The Venezuelan arrives on a full transfer from Carabobo FC in Venezuela’s first division. The center back has scored two goals since joining the club.
Carabobo ended the 2017 season in third place and conceded 13 goals in 17 games. Fuenmayor appeared in 21 games across all competitions in 2017. He has played in 72 games across all competitions since his debut in 2013. While he is primarily a center back he can also play at right back if need be.
His signing also deepens the center back position for the Dynamo as the team already has Leonardo, Philippe Senderos and Adolfo Machado on the roster.
