The Houston Dynamo announced today that they have agreed to a new deal with USMNT legend and veteran defender DaMarcus Beasley to keep Beasley in orange for his fifth season. The 35 year old defender has kept most of his speed and is a natural fit in Head Coach Wilmer Cabrera’s counterattacking style of offense. Beasley also recently won the MLS Fair Play Award for not drawing a single disciplinary card in 2017 and for committing the fewest number of fouls among the Dynamo back line.
While many believe Dylan Remick to be the heir apparent to the left back position, having the two on the roster together gives the Dynamo quality depth at a position that is not always easy to fill.
