The Houston Dash just traded one of the more beloved players in franchise history for relative pennies.
On Tuesday, the club announced that it had traded defender Michelle Alozie to Chicago Stars FC for $40,000 in allocation money. Alozie immediately signed a two-year contract with Chicago, according to the club.
"Michelle's proven ability at both ends of the pitch, experience and leadership skills will be valuable assets for our team over the next few years," said Stars general manager Richard Feuz of the trade. "We are excited to welcome her to Chicago as we continue to build for 2026.
