Taylor Comeau and Sofia Huerta were named to the NWSL Team of the Month for August by the NWSL Media Association, the league announced earlier today.
Comeau and Huerta earned Team of the Month honors for leading Houston to three victories in August. With an emphasis on spreading the ball around, the duo combined to assist on three goals. Huerta set a new career-high for goals scored in a single season after scoring three times this month to bring her total in 2018 to eight.
In the Dash’s home finale against Sky Blue FC, Huerta played a pivotal role in the 6-1 victory.
