The Dynamo may have to face off against one of their own early this season.
Dynamo Academy product Sebastien Ibeagha, a central defender, has signed a contract with New York City FC ahead of the 2018 season.
Ibeagha, a Hightower High School graduate, played in Denmark and Iceland before joining the Dynamo roster in 2016. He did not appear in any games that season and was released when the season ended.
He landed with USL club San Antonio FC in 2017 and was named the league’s Defender of the Year. He was invited to NYCFC’s preseason camp in January.
