Less than one month ago, Sammy Jo Prudhomme and Tiffany Weimer were putting the final touches on their preparation for preseason camp with the Boston Breakers.
This week, however, they are more than 1,800 miles away in training camp with the Dash. They may be a little warmer now than they would be in Massachusetts, but they would gladly deal with colder weather if it meant their lives have not been turned upside down.
Prudhomme, a goalkeeper, and Weimer, a forward, were on the Breakers’ roster when the club folded last month. All 31 players were placed into a dispersal draft for the remaining nine clubs.
