Houston Dynamo forward Alberth Elis was named to the Audi MLS Team of the Week and teammate Christian Ramirez was named to the bench, the league announced earlier today.
Elis’ strike in the 62nd minute drew Houston level with the LA Galaxy on Sunday as the Honduran international tallied his ninth goal of the season. Elis would follow up with a game-winning assist on Ramirez’s goal in the 83rd minute and tallied his 10th assist of the season in stoppage time as Memo Rodriguez cemented Houston’s victory over the Galaxy at BBVA Stadium. This is Elis’ fourth appearance on the Audi MLS Team of the Week this season.
