Dynamo's DaMarcus Beasley out 4-6 weeks after knee surgery

When Houston fell to Tigres UANL in the second leg of its CONCACAF Champions League match last Tuesday, the team lost more than the series, it also lost veteran defender DaMarcus Beasley to a left knee injury.

On Wednesday, the team announced that Beasley underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on that knee. His recovery could sideline him for the next four to six weeks.

Beasley, 36, is a team captain. He scored the winning goal that helped the Dynamo advance past C.D. Guastatoya in the Champions League Round of 16 in February.

Beasley's recovery comes as a handful of Dynamo players grapple with injuries.
