Dynamo strengthen defense with acquisition of Tim Parker

Dynamo fans have been clamoring all offseason for a center back, and today the front office delivered. Houston has traded $450K in General Allocation Money to the New York Red Bulls in exchange for defender Tim Parker.

The 27 year old started his Major League Soccer career with Vancouver before being traded to the Red Bulls in 2018. The New York native leaves his local club having made 79 appearances and scoring 1 goal. Parker has 2 caps for the USMNT, both coming in 2018.

Parker anchored the Red Bulls Supporters Shield winning side in 2018, alongside Aaron Long, and he will surely bring some much needed stability to a Houston back line who has struggled mightily of late.
