It took a little longer than he hoped, but Charlie Ward finally is a member of the Dynamo.
The Dynamo on Friday signed Ward to an MLS contract. Ward, a central midfielder, played for the Dynamo's USL affiliate Rio Grande Valley FC in 2016 and so far in 2017.
Ward is the fifth RGV FC player to sign an MLS contract with Houston. He joins Kevin Garcia, Taylor Hunter, George Malki and Memo Rodriguez. The Toros debuted in 2016 and were coached by the Dynamo's Wilmer Cabrera.
Ward, a 22-year old native of England who previously played at Stoke City, is no stranger to wearing the Dynamo uniform, having started both U.
