Marcelo Palomino’s Dynamo tryout will take a back seat this week while he heads to Florida for camp with the United States youth national team.
Palomino, a 16-year old Dynamo Academy produced, will join the U.S. under-18 team in Orlando from Sunday through Feb. 12. The team will play two games against Costa Rica during the camp.
This is Palomino’s third call-up during the 2018-19 cycle, which began in November.
He spent the last two weeks in Dynamo preseason camp and is being given a chance to make the first team. Signing a Homegrown Player contract and playing a season with USL affiliate Rio Grande Valley FC also is a possibility.
