Dynamo Academy product Bryce Marion and the Stanford Cardinal won their third consecutive NCAA Division I National Championship with a 1-0 win in double overtime over Indiana in Chester, Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon.

Stanford midfielder Sam Werner capitalized on a mistake by the Indiana defense in the 103rd minute and roofed a shot from short range to make the Cardinal the first team since Virginia (1991-1994) to win at least three straight national championships.

Marion, a senior midfielder from Cypress, was a regular starter in his final two years with the Cardinal. He tallied five assists in his senior season, giving him nine assists and a goal in 55 career games.
