The Houston Dynamo are back in CONCACAF Champions League thanks to their successful 2018 US Open Cup campaign. Lifting up the US Open Cup trophy last season allowed them to have a berth in the 2019 Champions League which will be the first time since the 2013-2014 season that Houston has taken place in the annual tournament.
Their opponents in the Round of 16 will be Guatemalan club CD Guastatoya. The first leg of the round will be in Guatemala City on February 19th at Estadio Doroteo Guamuch Flores with the second leg being on February 26th at BBVA Compass Stadium.
