Dash rookie CeCe Kizer and mascot Diesel played with kids at a field day put together by Buckner International of South Houston on Friday.
The end of the school year was celebrated at The Buckner Family Hope Center on Reed Road. The celebration was organized by the nonprofit charity for the area kids and families it serves.
Kizer, a new arrival in Houston after being selected 13th overall in the first round of the 2019 NWSL College Draft, showed her involvement in the community just days after making her professional debut. Kizer subbed in during the 83rd minute of Houston's 2-1 loss to the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday.
