The Houston Dash announced James Clarkson as the club's third full-time coach in the franchise's five-year history on Tuesday.
"I watched the team all of last season, I had a huge interest in it," Clarkson, the former director of the Dynamo Academy, said. "I thought (former coach Vera Pauw) did a fantastic job. She laid down a fantastic foundation that I'm fortunate enough to be able to inherit."
Clarkson most recently served as the team's Director of Project Development. He also worked as the head coach of the Dynamo's Premier Development League affiliate Brazos Valley Bombers.
"The squad is strong, they are a great group of players and they want to win," he said.
