Dash hold on to top Pride for first home win

The Houston Dash had several chances, nearly doubling Orlando's shot output throughout Sunday's game against the Pride. Their second chance, a Kealia Ohai goal, made the difference in a 1-0 win at BBVA Compass Stadium.

"It's great to get the first home win. It takes a bit of pressure off of us," coach James Clarkson said. "I felt we started really well."

Throughout the preseason, Ohai, a forward, talked about recapturing her touch.

After scoring 11 goals for the Dash (2-1-1, 7 points) in 2016, injuries and rehab contributed to her diminished production (just seven goals in 2017 and 2018 combined) in recent seasons.
