With nearly two decades of playing experience, DaMarcus Beasley has been a lot of things. This season he'll repeat something from his past.

A veteran of four FIFA World Cups, the 35-year old Beasley will take over the captaincy from the departed Ricardo Clark Saturday when the Dynamo open the season against Atlanta United FC.
Beasley previously served as captain in 2016 when Wade Barrett took over on an interim basis following the firing of Owen Coyle.
Now in his mid-30s, Beasley often fields questions about how much longer he intends to play.
