The last three months have been a whirlwind for Arturo Alvarez.
First, he got traded to the Dynamo – his hometown team.
Second, he got married.
Third, he joined the Dynamo for preseason training, which is when it really began to feel real for him.
On Saturday, he walked into BBVA Compass Stadium for the first time as a Dynamo player and actually played in the game.
Alvarez has been playing professionally since 2003, but he said Saturday's debut topped every other season opener.
"It is something I have been waiting for my whole career," he said.
