Alberth Elis earned Audi MLS Team of the Week honors, the league announced earlier today.
Elis was named to the bench after he helped the Dynamo defeat New York Red Bulls on July 3 by scoring twice and providing an assist during the 4-0 victory. This is Elis’s third appearance on the Team of the Week, having been named to the Team of the Week twice this season after a pair of dominant performances in which he scored, created or assisted on seven combined goals in wins over Vancouver (Week 3) and Colorado (Week 5).
Seven Houston Dynamo players have been named to a Team of the Week this season.
