Summer is offseason for most Dynamo Academy teams, but the season’s just getting started for the club’s new U-23 PDL team, Brazos Valley Cavalry FC, and the U-13s took a trip to Canada for an invitational tournament.
The Academy U-13s took part in the International U-14 Tournament in Montreal, finishing in fourth place but taking home the Fair Play Award as the team that showed the most sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
The Dynamo picked up draws against fellow MLS academy teams from Atlanta United and the Montreal Impact but finished with a win Montréal-Nord in the group stages to advance to the semifinals.
