The UH volleyball team will host a tournament that honors an icon in the sport at the Athletics/Alumni Center on Friday.

The Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup got its name after a three-year letter winner from 1974 to 1976. She was also a collegiate All-American in every year she played and was inducted into the UH Hall of Honor in 1988.

The Cougars are coming off of a second-place finish at the Houston Cougar Classic. They went 2-1 during the weekend, with the team’s sole loss came against eventual-champion Idaho State University.

During the tournament, junior outside hitter Sarah Afflerbaugh led the Cougars with 46 total kills across three games.
