White walks off, Astros build on AL West lead

HOUSTON -- The A's were practically daring the Astros to come through with a clutch hit, walking a season-high 10 batters and, for the most part, controlling damage. Not even Jose Altuve could save the day, striking out a career-high four times after a first-inning RBI single.

It wasn't until Tyler White lofted an 0-2 pitch from Jeurys Familia and sent it into the first rows of the Crawford Boxes for his first career walk-off homer in the ninth inning that the Astros could enjoy the day. They defeated the A's, 5-4, on Wednesday afternoon at Minute Maid Park.
