In the past couple of articles I have references the eyeball test. That has gotten some pushback from some folks but oddly enough there are others that think I rely too much on numbers. Obviously, you can’t please everyone. My normal course is to look at numbers when my eyes are telling me something is going on. What my eyes are telling me is that the Astros have one of the more inefficient offenses in baseball.
I rely on numbers for a variety of reasons. Primarily, I know that eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable. We remember key moments and often that goes towards the very positive or very negative.
