1965 - First 10-game win streak
With 6-4 and 6-1 wins over the Chicago Cubs in a double-header, the Houston Astros push their win streak to 10-games for the first time in franchise history. This streak would be highly coveted, not being broken until the 1999 season.
1969 - Back-to-back no-no’s
For just the second time in baseball history, back-to-back no-hitters are thrown. The first came from Cincinnati Reds hurler Jim Maloney against the Astros, and they responded the next day with a no-hitter of their own, this time from Astros Don Wilson.
