Batting against Hill with two outs in the third, Springer sent a 90-mph fastball the opposite way over the fence in right. It was the outfielder's eighth hit, and sixth extra-base hit, since going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts in Game 1.
Springer's home run also made him the 12th player to hit at least four in a single World Series, and the first since Chase Utley in 2009. And it gave the Astros their 14th homer as a team, tying the '02 Giants for most in a Fall Classic.
For Springer, the barrage has transformed his postseason.
