The Astros’ all-time playoff home run leader, George Springer, proved once again why he is money when everything is on the line. His two-run, third inning homer was the difference in team bilbos’ 4-2 win over the Cody Blue and Gold.
As Springer said after the game, “Of course I hit the game-winning homer. It’s the playoffs, isn’t it? Hats off to GM bilbos for recognizing the importance of clutch. I’m proud to be on a winner.”
Number 1 overall draft pick Jeff Bagwell continued with his playoff woes for the Blue and Gold, striking out three times.
