Reddick scratched with left leg irritation

HOUSTON -- Two hours before first pitch, the Astros announced outfielder Josh Reddick was scratched from Friday's series opener against the Indians because of "left leg irritation."

Derek Fisher will replace Reddick in right field and bat seventh. It is unclear how severe Reddick's injury may be or if he will be available in either of the Astros' remaining two games of the series versus Cleveland.

Reddick, the Astros' right fielder, has played in 40 of Houston's 45 games prior to Friday. With two outfield assists Tuesday against the Angels, Reddick joined Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun at the top of MLB's leaderboard with six outfield assists this season.
