Odorizzi Crushed in Houston Debut. But Astros Bats come through against Nats, 11-8

Jake Odorizzi officially has a Spring Training ERA of 67.00. To make the meaning of that clear, if he pitched whole games, he would average allowing 67 runs in every nine-inning stint.

Of course, this one inning was his first and only inning this Spring, and his first as an Astro. Let’s assume he’s fighting off rust just as batters are getting their skills finely honed with the season almost here.

Still, in his one inning, which included five batters in the second with no outs recorded, Odorizzi allowed seven runs, six hits, including four homers (two to Ryan Zimmermann), and two walks.
