Josh Hader injury could push Astros into urgent scramble with waiver deadline looming

The Houston Astros got a glimmer of hope when it comes to the latest injury update for All-Star closer Josh Hader. Hader was diagnosed with a capsule strain in his left shoulder and will be shut down for the next three weeks.

Hader told reporters over the weekend that he would need another three weeks to ramp back up, and that means the left-hander would not be back until the postseason at the earliest.

Considering how Hader's injury was first being discussed, the news certainly could have been worse. Of course, there's still a month-and-a-half between now and when the postseason starts.
