KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jeff Bagwell never imagined how far and hard the Astros would fall in the Houston sports landscape since he helped captivate the city during the 2005 World Series at Minute Maid Park.
He and Hall of Famer Craig Biggio spent 15 years together making Houston a baseball town in a land where football is usually the king.
Yet, as the Astros went head-to-head with the Texans on Thursday night, old No. 5 was giddy with anticipation to see the Astros face the Royals in Game 1 of the Division Series at Kauffman Stadium.
