Home run barrage lifts Astros past Mariners, pushes win streak to eight games

Evan Gattis, Jake Marisnick and George Springer showed off their powerful strokes Friday night, keeping the Astros on their surprisingly magical ride through the start of the 2015 season.

Yet again, the offense and bullpen had just enough to overcome the one spot in the rotation that has been weak this season, extending the Astros’ winning streak to eight games.

Gattis hit a two-run home run in the first. Marisnick and Springer each added solo home runs to pace the Astros to a 4–3 victory over the Mariners before a crowd of 21,834 at Minute Maid Park.
