Former Astros loom large in the remaining pool of free agents this offseason

The Houston Astros, through creative structuring, found a way to come away from the offseason with one of the top prizes in free agency. While the Astros are set to introduce Tatsuya Imai today, a number of their former players will define the conclusion of the offseason before spring training starts in February.

Framber Valdez, Alex Bregman, and Kyle Tucker all remain available on the free-agent market. Not that the chances were ever strong, but Imai's arrival in Houston likely does rule out a reunion with any of those three players.
