Craig Biggio, Carlos Correa differ on opinions of MLB rule changes

The future and the past differ on how the second-base bag should be handled.

The first and only Astros Hall of Famer is a middle infielder who doesn’t want the game to change its rules after Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada suffered a broken leg because of Friday night’s slide into second base by the Dodgers’ Chase Utley in the National League Division Series.

Craig Biggio’s lived this moment himself. The second baseman’s only significant injury in his 20-year career came trying to turn a double play against the Marlins in 2000, when Preston Wilson’s slide left Biggio with a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee.
