Astros: Shortstop Carlos Correa wins his arbitration case

According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, Carlos Correa won his arbitration case with the Houston Astros. The hearing actually took place on Jan. 31, but the result was held back until today to keep it from influencing another case to be heard.

Carlos Correa and Tommy Pham both have won their arbitration cases, sources tell ESPN. Players lead 3-1. Still a few big cases left to go, including Gerrit Cole, Aaron Nola and Luis Severino.

Correa filed a salary of $5 million while the Houston Astros’ front office filed $4.25 million.
