Tough night for the Astros affiliates in minor league action.
This game featured a starting pitching matchup between current top Astros pitching prospect Francis Martes, and former Astros prospect Josh Hader who left in the Gomez/Fiers trade. Hader came out on top in the head to head matchup, as Martes struggled a bit. He made his first appearance in over two weeks, with the final line four runs on five hits and four walks in three and two thirds innings.
Fresno took a 5-4 lead scoring four runs in the sixth inning, but the bullpen couldn’t hold the advantage.
