McHugh is experiencing discomfort in his right elbow, the same problem that put him on the Injured List back on May 21st. He was out for over a month before returning to pitch in his first game on June 25. Jose Urquidy has been called up from AAA Round Rock to take his slot in the Astros bullpen.
McHugh faced just two batters when he was inserted into last night’s game in place of Wade Miley. He surrendered a double to Bo Bichette before getting Cavan Biggio to strike out to close out the inning.
