Following last night’s less than favorable start by Armenteros, the Astros have optioned him back down to their Minor League affiliate. It is expected that Brad Peacock will be activated off of the Injured List today to fill the empty roster spot.
The third trip back up to the Majors for Armenteros didn’t quite go as well as his previous visits. He got knocked around a little by the Oakland Athletics, allowing five runs on seven hits. It was hoped that he would go longer into the game to give the bullpen a rest but only lasted through the fourth.
