Stefan Jankovic scored a career-high 34 points to lead the University of Hawai’i basketball team to a thrilling 69-63 victory over CSUN on Thursday night at the Matadome in Northridge, Calif.
Hawai’i improved to 21-3 overall and remained in first place in the Big West Conference at 10-1. CSUN dropped to 9-17 and 4-8.
Jankovic connected on 12 of 13 field goals and 8 of 10 free throws. Quincy Smith added eight points and seven rebounds, and secured the victory with a highlight-reel putback dunk in the closing seconds.
Roderick Bobbitt had nine points and seven assists, and Mike Thomas had seven points and 11 rebounds as the Warriors won a school-record fifth consecutive road game.
