Warriors picked fourth in preseason poll

The University of Hawai’i basketball team is picked to finish fourth in the Big West Conference Preseason Poll, which was released on Thursday.

This year’s preseason poll featured voting from 28 media members. The Big West does not conduct a preseason poll for its men’s basketball coaches.

The Rainbow Warriors finished 17-13 overall and tied for fourth place at 8-8 in the Big West last season. They return eight players from last season, including starting forward Samuta Avea and key contributors Bernardo da Silva and Justin Webster.

Eran Ganot returns for his sixth season as head coach of the Warriors.
