When the going got tough, Stefan Jankovic got going for the University of Hawai’i basketball team.
Jankovic sent the game to overtime with a 3-pointer in the closing seconds of regulation, then he out-scored the other team by himself in overtime as the Warriors rallied to beat Cal State Fullerton, 86-79, on Saturday at Fullerton, Calif.
A crowd of 993 at Titan Gym watched the Warriors rally from a four-point deficit in the closing seconds of regulation to increase their winning streak to seven. Hawai’i is now 15-2 overall, matching the start of the 2001-02 Hawai’i team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
