The nickname “Late-Clock Brocke” was quite appropriate for Brocke Stepteau on Monday.
Stepteau was named the Big West Conference Player of the Week on Monday for his performance during the final regular-season games of his collegiate career last week.
The 5-foot-9 senior guard averaged 19.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists to lead the Rainbow Warriors to road wins at UC Davis on March 7, then at Cal State Fullerton on March 9.
Stepteau scored 17 points with five assists at UC Davis, and led a Hawai’i rally that overcame a 15-point deficit in the second half.
