The inaugural game rosters are set for the inaugural Hawaii Development League.
Several players from the 2018-19 University of Hawai’i basketball team are listed on opening rosters, including returnees Samuta Avea, Drew Buggs, Justin Hemsley, Zigmars Raimo and Brandon Thomas. Incoming recruits Mate Colina and Dawson Carper are also expected to participate. Potential walk-ons Zoar Nedd, Huthifah Abdel Jawad and Kobe Young are also listed on rosters.
The HD League held a “team draft party” on Friday night at the Pagoda Floating Restaurant. The league is in its first year under the direction of co-founders/directors Derrick Low and Kyle Pape.
