Another newcomer to the 2022-23 University of Hawai’i basketball program is assistant coach Rob Jones.
While he might be an unfamiliar name and face to Rainbow Warrior fans, he is certainly well known to head coach Eran Ganot.
Jones was a two-time all-conference player as a 6-foot-5 forward at Saint Mary’s from 2010-12. Ganot was an assistant coach for the Gaels during those years.
More recently, Jones was an assistant coach at UC Riverside – one of UH’s rival opponents in the Big West Conference.
“Me and (Ganot) go way back,” Jones said.
