Juan Munoz, the top player on Longwood University’s 2020-21 team, is expected to join the University of Hawai’i basketball team as a graduate transfer for next season. Munoz posted his commitment to the Rainbow Warriors through his own social media.
Munoz, a 6-foot point guard, led Longwood with 13.0 points per game , 73 3-pointers in 29 games, a .384 percentage from 3-point range, and a .807 free throw percentage as a junior during the 2020-21 season. He also averaged 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for the Lancers, and was named to the All-Big South Conference second team.
